Context.

In 2014, ten years had passed since the terrible tsunami that devastated the coasts of Southeast Asia. To pay tribute to the victims, ACF wished to take the opposite approach to a typical communications strategy in order to fight against forgetting.

Idea.

Echoes of Tsunami is a digital experience based exclusively on sound. While the user observes a seemingly calm Indonesian port, they are invited to close their eyes to remember. Then the memories come crashing down.

Impact.

With this operation, Action Contre la Faim is using digital technology to raise awareness among the general public through innovation. Here, this painful anniversary is an opportunity to warn about a little-mediatized subject: disaster preparation and resilience.
