of art from the streets.

Issue.

Street art is an artistic movement that owes its originality to the diversity of the techniques used, the various forms it includes (graffiti, stencils, mosaics etc.) and to its birthplace, the street. But the true uniqueness of this art lies in its ephemerality. How can we ensure that this art, which comes and goes without a trace, is preserved and promoted, and thus demonstrate the positive impact of Google's Cultural Institute on the art sector?

Idea.

It is through a platform developed by Google's Cultural Institute, the Street Art Project, that this contemporary urban art has been preserved from its ephemerality and made accessible to the greatest number of people. The Street Art Project allows users to discover nearly 8000 archived works, 3000 international artists in about 50 countries on 5 continents. But the platform goes further and also allows you to explore the stories behind these works thanks to Google Solutions: Maps, Street View, YouTube and Exhibition.

Results.

In 6 months, the platform received an average of 3.6 million visits from 226 different countries, making it the 7th most visited art museum in the world.
