Become a citizenship enabler.

Context.

For 2014 french municipal elections, 84.Paris designed a platform where citizens could follow the political debate online using tools by Google.

Idea.

During municipal elections, citizens and their elected representatives should be able to directly discuss issues that affect them. Based on this observation, Google teamed up with 84.Paris to develop a participative and democratic platform. Using Google Hangouts in collaboration with TV channel France 3, users could interact with the candidates and ask them questions during debates led by journalists.

Tech and citizenship.

A brand new type of citizens/elected representatives relationship was born; spontaneous, interactive and fuelled by feedback, statistical data and information collected by Google Trends.
